The Belted Galloways of Monterey

A trip to Monterey, VA and the Riven Rock Farm yielded a beautiful snowy landscape with my favorite Belted Galloway cows as they wandered the fields in 8 degree weather.  The family who owns the farm came by to say hello, and introduce me to their animals before they prepared to go buy a bunch of pigs to add to their stock.  I'll be back there to reference their newly acquired pigs and the beautiful sheep they raise there as well.  A good day, and worth the hazzards of slippery roads, and chilling temperatures.  (The cows didn't mind a bit)
